2006 Mk6 Ford Transit Injection Pump

Hi, 

I currently have a 2006 transit 2.4 di has a vp44 injection pump that was running good then turned off for a delivery and now will not restart.

It has faults P1563 - fuel injection pump requesting stop
                  P1664 - fuel injection pump malfunction 
                  P0216 - injection timing circuit 

It has got a new fuel pump in the last 12 months as it was a no start again 

The van seems to keep going through injection pumps as the owner says that this is now the 6th pump the van has had. 2 or 3 of the pumps are in the last 2 years. 

Is there anything that can be causing the pumps to keep going faulty? Or any other common issues that cause this?
Also had a new crankshaft position sensor last year
