Clone vcm2

I have purchased a clone vcm2. I have valid Ford IDS subscription as well as an OE vcm 1 and 2. Of course I purchased clone because it was cheap. However I updated firmware to most recent 2.4.73.37. However it would not do customer flight recorder update. Any suggestions on getting it to complete the update process? Also how to change serial number?
