Hi all,
I have a question that maybe someone will laugh, but believe me, if you are in my situation you'll scratch your head and ask yourself "What the heck is going on?' Anyway, back to my question.
How come that this Jeep works with PCF7536 and not with PCF7941?
I'm trying to program a spare key to 2016 Jeep Patriot. It has only one valet key, so I want to program a keyfob. I checked the chip of the valet key and it's ID46 PCF7536 (jeep and dodge usually use pcf7941). I checked all keys I have, and all are pcf7941, even the OEM I have. I programmed couple of them, and all programmed successfully, car starts, but the remote does not work at all. I did clear all keys, reprogrammed again, reset the ecm, and remote doesn't work. Is not that I tested with only one key, I did test with more then 10.
How can I fix this problem, is something with the remote transmitter? or something else?
